how it works
RESIDENCE partners with agencies and brands to create bespoke programs. Each year RESIDENCE features selected directors to participate in our program which includes a customized curriculum specific to brand storytelling. The directors participate in workshops geared towards career development and advancement and network within the production community. They are available for creative collaboration with brands and agencies as well as Directing opportunities. Director projects can be produced by our clients, RESIDENCE Entertainments production department or by our various production partners. Each year we build upon our collective of Directors, offering brands and agencies a growing roster of non-exclusive talent.
2022 cohort
RESIDENCE launched it's inaugural cohort in June 2022 welcoming it's first group of Directors, 12 uniquely talented artists from a variety of backgrounds. Kicking off at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners Directors completed a 12 week curriculum with the agency where all were able to pitch on real work, and some were awarded client projects. Great work came as a result and the sense of community we created and shared is equally important. Keep an eye out as these are Directors to watch!
FROM OUR FOUNDER
I get excited by all the change that is happening in our industry, and I love the spirit of innovation we are seeing right now. The beauty of RESIDENCE is in how it scales with the support of brands, agencies, and the production community at large - creating a movement and real change in our industry. By bringing diverse and multicultural filmmakers into the creative process early on, we can infuse ideas with a deeper level of authenticity while at the same time amplifying their voices. The innovation of the program is something we haven't seen but desperately need in the entertainment industry as it goes right down to how the work is being made. I created RESIDENCE as a lifelong artist advocate and to play a part in driving diversity in production, inclusivity in storytelling and bridging the gaps that exist between talent and opportunity.
